TiP Live lessons

Improvise. Adapt. Overcome

We know you're probably bombarded with information surrounding home schooling and the best ways to entertain your kids and quite frankly, it can be a little overwhelming. Our broadcasts tie together everything all in one place, providing suggested preparation, activities in context with discussions and follow up learning. The most important thing for us is providing families with an opportunity for interaction and sense of community during times of isolation.

How does it work?

Broadcasts take place via Zoom therefore children can join the meeting with their video and see others faces if they wish. Microphones are muted during the main body of the session with children interacting with the TiP leader via the comments. Children are then given an opportunity to engage via video/ audio at the end of the session.

When do they happen?

Broadcasts take place at 3.15 every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursdays give even more space for that face to face engagement as the TiP Lead hosts a 'Revisit' Zoom session which allows children to discuss their findings from the week and most importantly, hear from other children!

How long do they last?

Sessions vary in length from 20-50 minutes depending on the content. All videos and materials are archived after the live session in our Google Classroom so they can be revisited if you missed the 3.15 start time. Depending on the session, children can do the activity alongside the presenter or watch, gathering tips and tricks before completing the activity in their own time .
